Her yoga Journey started 35 years ago while watching and mimicking her mother doing yoga in the living room. However she did not learn of the spiritual benefits until later in life when she was going through something so traumatic she didn't think she would ever be able to overcome it. She learned that not only was yoga helping to heal her emotionally and spiritually, but physically as well.

Kristy has 4 children. Two sons ages 17 and 5, and twin daughter's who are 8. During her oldest sons birth Kristy broke her tailbone. Unable to walk for 3 months and after numerous tests she was also diagnosed with scoliosis, sciatica, pinched nerves and muscle spasms. The reason for these disclosures is because Kristy is a firm believer that yoga is for EVERYBODY and we should not allow our inhibitions to paralyzes us.
